Chamber of Commerce: I served as the  Executive Director and Secretary of the Bremerton Chamber from Jan 1998 until February 2000.  Beginning a new chapter in life, I moved to Thailand in March of 2000.

Primary interests at this point in life are to maintain the websites that are listed under Favorites, building our house and farm in Thailand and communicating with Family and friends through Chat rooms with MS Messenger or Yahoo Messenger.  We also have an active interest in working with area schools on projects that are intended to make the school environment a little better for kids now and well into the future.  Examples of the type of things we get involved in would include providing funds to build a toilet and shower for a classroom that is located about 300 meters from the toilet and too far for the 8 year olds to make a successful trip.  Recently we also provided funds to tile the floor in another school library and later will get involved in helping with additional books for the kids to check out.

The most recent event in our Thai lifestyle is a huge event for us.  It seems Pha's sister and husband have separated and left the baby girl with us to care for while she works at places not to be revealed to protect her from her violent husband.  The baby is 6 months old and until you have taken on the challenge of a nursing infant who abruptly is separated from her Mom you cannot imagine the challenge.  We thoroughly enjoy her presence in our life and are doing our best to provide a good home for her.

I also maintain an interest in working with the kids and adults in Thailand to help them with pronunciation of English words and am involved in helping some of the area schools with their computer problems.

There are links to most of these activities in the menu and also listed under Favorites.  One question that is asked virtually on a daily basis here is "Can you help me find a farang for a husband?"  Recognizing that my interest is not in matchmaking I finally was persuaded to start the web site and suggest that you send me an email for the link.

In addition to those interests I still love to tinker with computers and expect that love affair will last as long as I do.  It is still a great kick to be able to fix a computer or computer software or setup problem for someone.  It is regular activity for me to go help one of our friends with such a problem.
